Dear
Mr. Buckley
Dear
Ms Krewson
The
goal of our Foundation is to promote Hellenism in America by honoring
Greek Americans which leaves behind their legacy.
Next on the list of the foundation is to
place a bronze statue of Constantino Brumidi (1805-1880),
the Greek - Italian – American Artist of the Capitol,
in the City of Annapolis area preferable in a
visible central location to make it a tourist attraction for the city.
His Greek father Stavros Broumidis gave him the Inspiration and
Aspiration, his Italian mother Anna Bianchini gave him the talent of
Art, and the United States of America gave him the opportunity to
become the Michael Angelo of the Capitol.
Our
decision to choose Annapolis to place the Statue of Constantino
Brumidi, is close to Washington DC and has a strong population of Greek
and Italian Communities.
Foundation
of Hellenism of America is respectfully requesting to receive an
official decision to place a bronze statue of Constantino Brumidi with
the financial support of Greek American Organizations. Also,
we would like to start the structure of the statue and placement of a
bronze commemorative plaque on the base. The statue height is 6 feet 2
inches and the base height 6 feet.
Some
